The Stay Gold Project is an educational initiative that sets the stage for young people to experience live theater and give them the tools to share its impact long after the curtain falls. Inspired by THE OUTSIDERS on Broadway, the project expands access to the arts while elevating youth voice, connection, and belonging. The Stay Gold Project ensures that cost is never a barrier to experiencing THE OUTSIDERS either on Broadway or the North American Tour, making it accessible and inclusive for all middle and high school students. This multi-faceted initiative includes:
TICKET
ACCESS
The Stay Gold Project seeks partners to help underwrite the cost of tickets for students in New York City and across the country, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to experiencing the show.
EDUCATIONAL
RESOURCES
THE OUTSIDERS has committed to producing a free, interactive, educational guide that will be made available to teachers and students — whether they attend the show or not. An early version of this document is available here.
YOUTH AMBASSADOR COUNCIL
THE OUTSIDERS has invited a council of 12 New York City high school students, selected by application, to attend early rehearsals and preview performances and provide feedback, continuing the tradition of bringing young voices into the process of every aspect of this story.
